The Unconscious Deals With Customer Service

a narrow passage
in shiatsu
dreams

over lichen on a
winter wall
a mid sized
dragon
lurks
green and
hissing
fuchsia tongue
behind its
sharpened fangs

and then the
sweetest smell
of any dream
wafts gently
toward my face

along the
dragon wall
I see the source
just at my knee
a fragrant
foxglove
blooming
out of season

but then
the keeper warns
of cynanide
emissions

and I dash
through the
narrow
passage
completely
out of turn

glass obelisk
in hand

and hit it
on the wall beyond

translucent sheets
of thinnest cells
shearing
from the
source
fall neatly on
the table

and of course
I've lost my
purse
as in every
other dream
