Knowing My Place

I found
the place

a room
of my own

a studio
a retreat

a lofty
architectural wonder
in an old church

just right
for a
woowoo
wannabe

in which
I can
social distance
to my heart's
content

since it is
three
hundred
thousand
dollars more
than I have
to spend

I shall
have to
ask for it
from the
universe

for my birthday

which is
today
really

Photo note: Out the window of the one bedroom unit. The vista, I must admit, is compromised.

Felicitous natal anniversary! (Just have to be different.) I'll put in a good word with the universe.

Oh thank you Ari and Kathryn for your birthday greetings and words to the woowoo.

Now, with your help, all I have to do is wait patiently, in eager anticipation, for the price to drop a few hundred thousand. Or maybe a mentor would like to set me up in a beautiful blogging snuggery. I shall wait for the universe to surprise me.

Best D

Oh I missed your birthday yesterday but never mind, I'm here now and bring a cake decorated with all your dreams and when you blow out its candles, they come true. See, I've been exploring woowoo-land (in my imaginary self) these days so I know what's what.

What a lovely room, I hope you can move in.

Hi Dakota, Love your site and the latest poetry submission. I really do like your poetry! And Happy Birthday.

The flu thing has been tiring of late so I haven't read as faithfully. Maybe you've mentioned this, but more than science comming into save us, any pandemic can be stopped, as we learned in Canada from SARS, with quarantine, a good mask, and thorough hand washing.

Take Care,
Don

Oh thank you Don and Natalie!

First, everyone must go to Blaugustine and scroll down to Augustine's Fifteenth Interview with God, for a peek into Natalie's internal spaces. Click on the arrow, since only the first part of the interview shows.

Natalie, dear, I love my cake. Since I am such an elderly person, it is a veritable illuminated dreamscape, and a low calorie one at that.

Don, I am so sorry you find my current obsession boring-- I can completely understand that. Thank you for your honesty. I just know you're not the only one.

What can I say? I'm simply (and selfishly) trying to save every reader I have. You are a rare breed, you know.

Here's Peter Cheney from the Globe and Mail on the differences between Sars and H5N1, in case you didn't get your dose today.

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes. D
