It strikes me that making emotional progress is like a ferris wheel untethered, slowly rolling forward. Yes, you move forward, up the wheel and over the top, then - agonizingly - downward, and backwards. Just when you think you are making no progress at all, you realize the wheel has indeed turned, and you are in a different place. But there is no forward motion without that downward, backward turn. Screeeeeeeech (give me some cotton candy!!!)

Dear Margaret -

Beautifully stated, as always. How is your ferris wheel? When last we heard, it was definitely on the upward cycle. I, personally, am a little sticky. Maybe it's the cotton candy. D

I'm writing this at 5:02 a.m. Pacific time (does that tell you anything??). Creatively, we're rolling all right - the next novel is growing organically, but it's very very strange, almost macabre. As a kid, I loved Poe, and maybe this is coming through.

Have you ever looked up Susan Miller's Astrology Zone? It's a wonderful site, with a very detailed (7-page) free forecast for each month. Libra is all over the place these days, and that's my 12th house, house of secrets, the occult, death, and all that spooky stuff. I also have Neptune in Libra, intensifying the effect. But it's s'posed to be positive in the long run, Susan says, as I'm an Aquarius and all. In fact, I could not believe how on-target the forecast has been for the past couple of months, even mentioning publishing projects finally paying off after years of effort. This is by far the best astrology site I've ever found on the 'net.

Any-hoo, as I've said before, and I'll say it again, your blog is the only one I check out every day. The photo you posted today is breathtaking - those colours! I have no eye at all, so I am in awe. Blog on, my dear. . .

Dear Margaret -

Thank you again for your ongoing support. I seem to have been wrapping myself around the Bush lately and it must be tedious for those living outside The Corporacracy.

Of course I rushed right over to Susan Miller, on your recommendation. She's very clear, no trines, no jargon. Anyway it looks like a superior month for Libras (I'm Oct.20) and I can't wait. I had no idea that Libra was anything other than peace, beauty, crippling ambivalence and conflict avoidance. I shall have to explore the more occult, spooky aspects of myself. On second thought, maybe I'll just try to read my blog.

I'm pleased to hear that novel #4 (right count?) is moving along, even if it choses 5 AM to flow through the faucet. Hopefully you'll get to take a nap.
